International Students

Are you a foreign student who wants to travel to the United States to learn English in a small, caring environment? Do you need to improve your English skills to enter into a graduate program in the United States? If you answered yes to either of these questions, the ESL program at Anne Arundel Community College is for you!  

Come to AACC and experience the diversity of our student body and the quality of our instruction at a convenient location near Washington D.C, Baltimore, and Annapolis.

Advantages of the ESL program:

  • A comprehensive ESL program with classes from beginning through college levels offered in a variety of formats including online.
  • Skilled, highly-qualified instructors. One of our instructors recently received the NISOD award: the highest, most prestigious national award an instructor can receive.
  • Small class sizes (usually 10-15) students that provide personalized attention.
  • Free tutoring for students in need of help with their course work.
  • Location close to Washington, D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore.
  • Free use of the gym, fitness, and swimming pool.
  • Diverse student population. Students come from over 30 different countries.
  • Active International Student Association and Conversation Partner Program.
  • Automatic admission into the college for students who successfully complete the ESL program.
  • Students who test at the advanced level can take credit courses in conjunction with their ESL courses.
