This need-based scholarship will pay up to $1,000 toward the costs of approved training. The application form ^PDF explains the eligibility requirements and lists the approved courses.

• AACC Payment Plan for select Continuing Education Courses

• Army Vocational-Technical Education AVOTEC Program

Soldiers can earn certifications/licensures toward job training through the Army Vocational-Technical Program. Visit the Web site or contact the AACC Fort Meade Army Education Center at 410-672-2117.

• Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS)

  If you have a disability the Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) can determine your eligibility for job training with state funding. Call 410-412-7090 to make an appointment.

• Maryland Business Works

If you want to upgrade your skills in your current industry, and are a full-time benefited employee, your employer may eligible for training funds from the Maryland Business Works Program. Eligible employers receive funding for up to 50% of your course costs. The program applies to most occupational skills training, English as a Second Language courses, and literacy training (Developmental Reading and English Courses). • Private Student Loans

  Students in certain continuing education courses may be eligible to apply for private student loans. These loans are not part of the federal student loan program and they do require a credit check. For more information, see Private Student Loans.

• Philip and Carole Ratcliffe Entrepreneurial Scholarship

If you need to take courses on starting your own business or running your own business smarter and leaner, you may be eligible for the college’s Philip and Carole Ratcliffe Entrepreneurial Scholarship. 

• Veterans' Benefits

If you are a veteran with military benefits, you may be eligible to use your VA Benefits for two of our Continuing Education programs: 

1) A+ certification courses
2) Commercial Driver's License courses (CDL 1 & 2)
