AACC Measures of Success

AACC strives for success in all its students, programs, offerings, and services. Here are some of the college's recent achievements.

  • More degrees and certificates awarded than any other single-campus community college in Maryland.
  • Best four-year transfer/graduation rate for full-time students among our peer colleges.

  • The Class of 2007 saw 1,468 graduates receive 1,219 degrees and 333 certificates.

  • 32.5 percent of all 2007 high school graduates in Anne Arundel County are enrolled as freshmen at Anne Arundel Community College.
  • Above the national average on the NCLEX-RN Licensure Exam: AACC's nursing program achieved a pass rate of 95 percent in December 2006 and 90 percent in May 2007.
  • 100 percent overall pass rate for Class of 2007 graduates of the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • 100 percent pass rate for 2007 Radiologic Technology program graduates.
  • 840 students enrolled in courses through the AACC University Consortium, July 2006-May 2007.
  • AACC surpassed FY2007 fundraising goal by 2.16 percent, raising $1.33 million.
  • AACC Department of Public Safety won the 2007 "Maryland Chief's Challenge" for increasing public awareness and use of safety belts and child-safety seats.
  • Interior design students won four statewide American Society of Interior Designers awards in fall 2007.
  • The AACC women's lacrosse team won the 2007 NJCAA national championship. This is the second year in a row the team has captured this title.
  • 100 percent pass rate for the July graduates, Class of 2007, in the Physician Assistant program.
